Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born 15th September 1915 at Ogden Utah. Fawn MCKAY, brought up in the Mormon Church's First Family, used her literary talent and research abilities to create the fascinating psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name No Man knows My History, she used both. The title was inspired by the sermon title that Joseph Smith delivered in 1844. In the sermon, he shocked his hearers with his words: "You do not know me and have not heard my thoughts. My story is not known to anyone. In reality I'm not even sure. Fawn wrote the 29-year-old Fawn. From that point the three authors have taken on this challenge. A lot of people have detested him while others have glorified. Few have made the diagnosis. Not that the documents aren't there, it's the fact that they're contradictory. The process of assembling these documents, sifting through first-hand and third-hand sources, fitting Mormons' narratives to those of non-Mormons into a true history - is challenging.
