Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992),[3] known mononymously as Rosalia (Spanish: [rosa'li.a], Catalan: [ruz@'li.@]),[4][5][6] is a Spanish singer. She was raised in Barcelona and has been called an "atypical popstar" due to her various musical styles. [9] At the age of 13, she fell in the love of Spanish folk music and studied musicology at the Catalonia College of Music. She was also seen at weddings and music bars. She was born into a family without artistic heritage and is the eldest child of Pilar Tobella who runs a small family-owned business that specializes in metalworks. Jose Manuel Vila, her father was born in Cudillero. They separated in the year 2019. The older sister of Rosalia, Pilar Vila, who was born in 1989 is her stylist. Rosalia was interested in performing arts from the age of five. She discovered the discography of Camaron De la Isla. Her musical education began at Taller de Musics.
